I combine water safety and child development principals to make learning to swim a magical experience for children and adults.
For more than 20 years, I've taught swim lessons in backyard pools, first in Los Angeles, and now in both California and the Seattle area. I have a passion for helping children become safe, confident, and joyful swimmers one at a time. My teaching methods are informed by my background in parent education, child development, and the study of developmental movement patterns. By working with children's natural reflexes and allowing their bodies to work with their breath, buoyancy and movement patterns, I help swimmers of all ages and abilities learn to move through the water with confidence and freedom.
I spent a decade teaching parent education through North Seattle College, and as a parent of three, I understand the importance of building trust with both children and families. Connection is at the heart of our approach: connection between swimmer and instructor, and between parents and instructors as well.
Every instructor on our team is carefully trained by me. Together, we use consistent games, techniques, and teaching philosophies to create a supportive, nurturing experience for every swimmer - one that promotes safety, confidence, and a lifelong love of the water.

Hello! My name is Beth and I have been an instructor at Little Fish Swim School in Seattle since June 2018 and am now also the scheduling manager for Little Fish Felton. I am a mom of two teenagers and a life-long swimmer. I became a swim teacher when my daughters' elementary school swim program needed instructors. I realized then my passion for helping kids learn to swim and love the water!

I have focused my adult life on child development, working with young children by being a founding creator of a “baby cafe” providing baby/child sensory classes. Now, as a stay-at-home mother of 3, I coach local soccer and provide private trainings throughout the area. As a lover of all things active, I swam competitively through high school and still love it today!

Molly grew up on the westside of Santa Cruz, and learned to swim through years of little guards, swim team and water polo. She spent her early 20s teaching swim lessons, and is excited to be back in the pool after years off exploring other passions. Teaching swimming has always felt like a calling to Molly. She has built a photography business in the last decade, which is still how she spends her weekends. She loves living in Felton and spends as much time in the river and redwood trails as possible.

I've worked with children of different ages and abilities for many years, and taught swim lessons in Santa Cruz for swimmers ages 3 - 15 years old. I can't wait to meet new friends at Little Fish Swim School!
